Title: Bright Lights
Summary: Sarah gets knocked up.
Timeline: April 2015 - Sarah and Adrianna are 26, Oz is 29, Andy is 31.
Challenge: FOTD (spatchcock), Star Fruit #9 (if you know what I mean), Molasses #5 (bad seed)
Rating: PG-13
spatchcock \SPACH-kok\, verb:
1. To insert or interpolate, esp. in a forced or incongruous manner.
“I just don’t understand why we have to do this here.” Sarah grumbled, self-consciously tugging at the paper gown they had given her. “I mean, it’s not like we couldn’t do this at your house. Adri is close enough to being a doctor, and I know you have a turkey baster, so why didn’t you just jack off into a cup at home?”
“Sarah!”
She looked at Adrianna, wide eyed and innocent as Oz continued to laugh. “What? You don’t have to be so modest about it. You have had two years of medical school at this point...”
“Sarah, stop teasing her.” Andy groused, not so subtly elbowing Oz in the ribs. He wouldn’t have been surprised if they had been able to hear the Irishman laughing in the waiting room. “We just want to have the biggest chance we have for this going right the first time around, is all. It’s not like this is a cheap procedure.”
“...It’d be even cheaper if we had stayed home and used a turkey baster.”
“No.”
